in all honesty its just another MTV scripted show. but as an italian-american i am seriously insulted with what they portray on this show. all of these people are from NY, NJ, and RI, and have all claimed that who they are represents 'italians' and how they 'should be.' companies have been pulling their ads during the shows run time (like dominos) because they think it is insulting to portray a group like this on television.
an argument was made that if this was any other group (jewish, blacks, etc) that this show wouldn't have even made it on air. just because it's italians they think they can get away with it.
