my cousins a cop in glastonbury and said that if the car came with flares the tires aren't supposed to stick out at all and if they didn't they can stick out no more than 2". still think that rule's bullshit
I'm surprised it was a Trumbull cop that pulled me over... I've been driving my jeep around town for nearly 4 years and have past hundreds of police vehicles without ever getting shiat.
this is why i kinda sorta dont wanna run my 62" wms axles. i wanna be able to spontaneously drive anywhere and not have to worry about cops pulling me over
but im ever so tempted to throw em under my jeep like right now
Side note... an ex cop has been mayor of Trumbull for the past 8 years. Yesterday a 29 year old that I know... who still lives w/ his parents was voted in as mayor. cops.
I got pulled over 2 years ago near UConn in a total beater 88 cherokee. The fat douche gave me a fix it ticket for tires sticking out, no front license plate, cracked windshield, broken mirror, broken tail light, faulty exhaust, and no third brake light.
So I went to the shop where RJ was working at the time and had his boss "inspect" my "repairs" and sign the slip.....so fuck the police.
i don't have to shamefully expose myself anymore i got a friend on the milford force that gave me this card, if i ever get pulled over i just have to show the officer it. He said don't go around being an idiot, but they won't bother you anymore
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

The Woodbridge cops harass me all the time. I usually leave my D-ring insert in my hitch, one of them pulled me over and flipped about it being dangerous to people behind me.
Usually... WJ was getting fixed that day. Have had a few things go wrong with it lately... some sensor where it wouldn't stay on and then a brake line exploded.
