my computer runs so much smoother on high performance vs balanced. is this really gonna kill my harddrive? i dont do anything to crazy

shouldn't effect you, some computers cant handle high performance mode for along time and will go into a thermal protection mode) ( computer will lock up). buts that's normally if your gaming that use's all your computer has for long period of time. computers almost brand new. i don't really "need" to run it in high performance. maybe i exagerated when i said so much smoother. the icons on my rocketdock get big a little smoother and i like that haha.
