At least some SCARs are on the civilian market.

Im not a fan of the SCARs, HK has some cool guns too, but not that I really want.

A Flat Top carbine will be a great starter AR. You can get a wide variety of rear sights and optics if you don't like the carry handle.

Marlin 336. Can't go wrong with a 30-30. Ammo is cheap and readily available. Same with the 357...if you can find one.

You can also get a .22 leveraction. Ever since I got my Marlin 39C-LTD, my 10/22 have gathered dust and I plan on selling both of them off.

My dad has a remington model 76 nylon lever action collector. Im not a big fan of lever actions, they are fun to shot but just not my cup of tea. To each there own.

Idk if this was directed at me but, I have a 2 bolt actions, 2 pumps, and 2 semi autos all long guns, and I have access to many other guns. I would like to get some thing diffrent and I think a lever gun is what Im going to do.

Phil, Im thinking the 30-30 is whats for me, I want something a little bigger than my biggest gun now(.243) and again something different, plus my sister has a lever action Iver Johnson .22 that I can shoot whenever.
