wow what if you just dont log in forever again? then youre not agreeing to the new terms? isnt there a law that they have to alert you if they change a contract?
From Facebook's original TOS:
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to change or delete portions of these Terms at any time without further notice. Your continued use of the Facebook Service after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
Like, ok, they "own" your pics now. Yeah they're on their site. It's on the internet, you google some keyword and bam it's right there. I don't get it? Maybe like if it was an embarassing pic or something? But still, don't put it on the internet?
Someone explain why this is the end of the world to me please.
and lol at the noobs who have drunken pics on facebook and post "OMG I WAS SO TRASHEED"
yup. and someone on slashdot posted a very interesting scenario.
say College Bikini Amateurs dot com saw your picture on the beach, and deemed you worthy of their site. they buy the picture from facebook and then its theirs. congratulations, youre now famous.
Its not a big issue for the average user. But say some up and coming band uploads their new single to facebook. They explode onto the scene and are huge and sell millions of records. Facebook can claim owner ship on the song they uploaded on facebook and take monies.
