For instance, coyotes can travel on the hard packed snowmobile tracks and prey upon everything from spruce grouse to snowshoe hare negatively affecting other wildlife like lynx that may depend on the hare for food.
Don't Coyotes need to eat too....

I don't think there is any sense arguing with someone like that. They would never listen to reason and simply see you as the enemy.

What are the powersports mfg's doing about the access issue? Over 800,000 ATV's were sold in the US last year. That is a lot of money that stands to be lost if people like this guy have their way.

I'm pretty sure Cabela's has given a major backing to the community on the recent Moab issue.

That's a good start. But I'm talking Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Polaris, Ski-Doo, Arctic Cat, Bombardier. They all stand to lose a lot of money.

                  man so much truth

id say seriously probably 75% of ATVs sold in this region are used blatantly illegally on a normal basis

ATVs/dirtbikes and illegal trail riding basically are synonymous.

but hey, when you arent allowed to go anywhere, anywhere you go by default becomes "illegal"

Using illegal land is bad the gnomes make me do it though along with burning things.

No but cabelas teamed up with Lance and Camo. They are seeming to make some headway with the moab issue. If they do accomplish it, it could be a turning point on the rest of the ohv community.

Seriously though this is bullshit. I know these people are ridiculously biased, which makes me wonder how biased we are ourselves. I feel completely unbiased but I know that can't be true.

so im reading a couple threads on a local town forum regarding "4x4s" using a mountain in town..this is in NY

every complaint by all the homeowners is about ATVs/dirtbikes. tear assing around, doing wheelies, speeding down trails, speeding down town streets, etc

and of course true 4x4 users (full size OHV....us) get lumped into this by nature, although our vehicles are typically silent in comparison as well as slower

anyone else feel as though ATVs/bikes are the main issue regarding most 4x4 closures/complaints? i know we have some enthusiasts here.

                        hell, look at LOBH.

Not gonna lie even being a person that goes dirtbiking on a near daily basis, i think it has a lot to do with it becuase they are alot louder, alot quicker, tear up the ground alot more (think two stroke bikes on trails). but on the other hand, i would honestly like to see someone catch me on my bike because its capable of going faster than basically any truck can handle through the woods. and because of this they are more blatently used illegally offroad

I blame ATV's dirtbikes and mud trucks. Think about it, On that site half the pictures they show are d-bags buried up to their rockers in the everglades spinning their tires on baby alligators.
But like you said will, we all get bundled onto the shitlist together. Try explaining the differences to a granola muncher chained to a tree. We're all the same in their eyes.
