towed a 24' 454 scarab with a 2wd 6cyl wj and it was horrible. it was only down the street, i wouldn't even think about attempting to take it on a major rd at speed. you can't stop. many babies would die

Honestly i dont think $5500 bucks for an 01 with 147k is not hat bad. i still see 01 Xjs going for more.

The only thing i would do if towing with it is get the rear coil spring air bags so its not sagging to hell. I plan to do that with my WK.

I would deff buy that one.

If your going to tow with it buy these. its a poly air bag that gets rolled up and squeezed in to the rear coil spring, then you air it up to inflate it to the right psi so the rear does not sag.

or you can just get stiffer springs for it or Rancho air shocks but this seems like the best bang for the buck.

Good call kyle, I like those. Can't beat the price either. I'll be finding out more about that jeep shortly but I wake up at 1:30 p.m. and leave for work at 5:15 p.m. so there isn't much time to play with right now.

WJ with the 242 would be awesome, just to find one with low enough miles while still not being insanely over priced is a challenge...there were two tow packages if I remember correctly??? Check the ratings and be sure the transmission is set up with a cooler a lot of them had the tow hitches added by the stealer ships without really being a tow package. When my cousin bought hers, she didn't even look at the paperwork to see if it really had a tow package installed.
