  • fuck logan steel

Don't bother with Logan unless you are looking through the discount scrap bin.

Called up Logan Steel today to check on prices for 1/4" sheet, and they wanted over $375 + tax for a sheet of 4' x 8'

Called Chapin and Bangs in Bridgeport, got a 4'x8' sheet of 1/4" for $183 including tax.

    That is all.

Is 5.70 per sq foot even a good price?

Chapin was the only other place I called, and after Logan that sounded real reasonable.

As soon as I got home I cut it into 2x4 pieces.

I finally got set up with sheilding gas today so I'm just going to be doing general fab jobs. Right now I need tow points on the ZJ, maybe a front bumper in the future. Probably a rear bumper for the XJ, etc.

Usually it's cheaper to buy in bulk, and I know I will use it all eventually, so why the fuck not.

i called to get prices for my steering and they told me $9/ft plus $20 to cut it. I went to get it and i ended up leaving there with 10 ft of DOM cut to size for $40. I really have no complaints about them

somebody fucked up with the calculator at the front desk

but right there is my point, 10ft for $40 isn't terrible from the prices I've seen, but them telling you $9 a foot is bullshit imo
