AvA? def not. hellogoodbye? i can definitely hear that. it seems that theyre just jumping on the bandwagon that made bands like HG, we the kings, boys like girls, etc, get a single or two on a top 40 station. im too busy with the new paramore cd right now to actually give the band a thorough listen too though

Owl City is the name of a synthpop/alternative dance project formed in early 2006 consisting of one member, Adam Young. He refers to his backing band plus himself as "Owl City." after Adam's hometown Owatonna Minnesota. Young started out making music in his parents' basement, which he claims is a result of his insomnia.

Young's influences are disco and European electronic music. 1980s synthpop, J-Pop and New Wave music is also heard in Owl City's sound.
