much more beef over the sami axles and its a light rig so large tires can be run on relativley small axles. and andrew idk what theyre worth lol what sounds good to you i have 2 or 3 5.13 thirds

good to know....not sure if i need one yet but ill let you know when I finally get the ball rolling on this pile of shit. and toyota axles are good cause of what geoff said and they are also third member type axles, which is nice and easy to work on when doing gears

beefier then a d44 stock. when upgraded they are comparable to a d60, much lighter and more clearance... and 3rd members are just cool

smaller-than-stock-XJ ring gears are not so cool

maybe a stock D60, but nobody in their right mind runs the stock shafts

even then a 60 still has a 1.75" bigger ring gear

the main thing that makes them so "strong" is because they are ran under sami's or buggied yota's or built trackers that weigh 2500 full loaded and the sami's and trackers have at the biggest a 1.6 that makes just shy of 100 hp if you swap it to a sami. that really isnt enough power to break anything, the kid with the green sami in the eastern wheelin pics still runs the stock driveshaft setup in the front and the u joints are like half the size of the 1310's the jeeps run, but he doesn't break anything even with 39" crawlers because the thing just has no power to break em
