        I agree with sam and alex, xjs and mjs are pretty reliable and most of us know so much about them and they are cheap to run so why not. Just dont go lifting it and modding it and youll be fine.

                            I would say chevy because you can get one like pete described for dirt cheap. I have a 95 suburban at the bottom of my yard... $400 bucks and its yours. If you have the cash though get a cummins 100%.

                                i had a 2000 chebby silverado 1500 z71 with the 4.8

                                it was alright, kinda sluggish, and enjoyed throwing codes, i had it for a daily driver. I drove my jeep on 37" boggers about 80% of the time while i had it.
