According to both the original series, first movie, and the comic books, they learned earth's languages through radio and tv.

I saw it Monday, The twins(Ghetto robots) are funny as hell and bringthe movie together! It has a lot more profanity in it than the first one for anyone considering kids, but it was a great Movie and I may go see it again this weekend!
