Ok, maybe sometimes I lack tact, but this time I feel pretty certain I wasn't being rude. At least I wasn't intentionally being a jerk; I was just curious.
So I'm at a ridiculously long stop light in the JK, and a shiny new rubicon JK pulls up next to me. He's got his top down and windows open and what not and smiles and is all, "hey how's it going, nice ride." I thank him and do some quick usual jeep bs, and then I ask, "where you wheel that thing?"
Now here's where it gets a little weird. He says "wheel it?" I say "Yes, take it off road." He sort of snorts or smirks like I'm an idiot and replys "no, I don't do that." I as politely as possible say "not to be rude, but why did you buy a rubicon... why not a sahara?" He only responds with "fuck you."
I'm left now with the question still, why do people buy the rubicon if they never intend to wheel it? Is it cause it costs more and it's just a status thing? Is it because it will resell for more? Was i wrong for asking? I don't know, just thought I'd throw it out there.
