I kind of like the whole k.i.s.s. method about it, lower it a few inches and you could have a really durabe rig, it may not be the best everywhere but less to break and easy to work on.

it can be considered simple to some. but you will need to route your steering between the leaves. worry about bending main leafs, axle wrap sucks nuts.

Not if you go spring under.

Buddy of mind did it on his XJ.

It is not super flexy but with 37s and full width, its got a stance that he says has been more stable than anything, and that truck has been built a few dozen times with different suspension options and axles. He plated his frame rails, internal cage, all kinds of stuff. BUt, His truck is twisted now. Was never twisted untill his first trip out with the leaf. And the frame is twice plated. He can drive it to and from the trails and its true.. Stupid simple.. I see leaf sprung XJs all over.. Yeah stupid lift, but his XJ is not that big for its stance with 37s. I have seen retarded flex with leaf springs. I just hate them..
              I like complicated links.

that looks like a cool xj.

if i had to do a new rig it would be a YJ. leaf in front coil out back

Added stability, but you keep coils up front. If you have time and money and the equipment to do it, go ahead, but if you want leafs at all 4 corner of a TJ, just buy a YJ.
OH NO not this again. Phil i think you successfully made that guy cry to his mommy.

i like leafs. had both a yj and a tj and while the yj put the tires up in the air much easier, it seemed more stable. and its much simpler to fix/fine tune. major added bonus was the fact that the 4" lift on the yj had no effect on its daily driveabity, that thing handled like it was on rails and never a hint of death wobble. the tj drove like a lifted truck. before the lift hands down tj was a dream to drive, after lifting the yj drove much better.
                          2 tj's
                          3 yj's
                          2 xj's

i dont know if this was bumped as a stab at me or what but that thing sucks.... way to high....

mine will be better than that.... it will sit exactly where it sits now as far as lift hight the way Armand and i are designing it. no crazy low front crossmember like some of the ones on pirate. rear mounts will be tucked up into the unibody rail.
