I'm still sticking to my argument that they should tax imports so they cost more then domestic cars. Thats why Harley Davidson is still in business today. They were going to go under because of the growing import market. It forced people to buy domestic

there was a tax on import cars until the oil embargo in the 70s.

honestly, i feel that if american cars werent "american cars" except for a few select models (corvette, pickups)... the american auto industry would be dead.
