I know you guys probably all are haters of nascar, but im a huge fan. One of the best finishes ive seen in recent years took place today, and even you NASCAR haters might enjoy it. This is the shit that makes NASCAR the most exciting spectator SPORT in the country.
With 8 laps to go, Kyle busch spun out, leaving a 4 lap restart left in the race.
Ryan Newman (39) and Dale Jr (88) led the field to the restart. A relatively unknown rookie, Brad Keselowski who runs a limited schedule in Sprint Cup and a full time in the Nationwide series restarted sixth after staying out of trouble all day.
Carl Edwards restarted 8th, after laying back and running in the back all day. He was trying to avoid the wrecks and stay out of trouble so he would have a good car in the end.
With 1 lap to go at the line, Carl Edwards and Keselowski hooked up and blew by the leaders going 10mph faster using the draft.
Coming into the tri-oval, Keselowski faked high, edwards went to block, but Keselowski dove low and got his nose under edwards. You cannot advance your position below the yellow line. If Keselowski had moved low to avoid edwards and continued the pass he would have been disqualified and edwards would have had the win. Instead, he held his line, edwards spun himself out. His car went airborne, Ryan Newman smacked his car mid air and sent edwards car careening into the fence sending it into pieces.
The rookie Keselowski whos previous best finish was 19th before today won the race, with an unknown owner and running a part time schedule. Quiet the finish. Heres the link to the video, worth the watch.

Some fans got hurt from debris from the crash hitting them.
Edwards car did not make it to the finish line. How fitting, using a tactic from Talladega nights, the movie, he runs across the finish line to finish 24th .
