He must be doing something wrong. Either buying shitty engines in the first place, or beating the shit out of them. It isn't just luck, there is a human error factor that is in play here that no one is seeing. You don't just go through 10 engines.

fact is, hes doing something wrong, or needs to stop doing what hes doing (running water in his airbox instead of air). end of story.

i dont care how generally "hard" he is on em. there are plenty of 4.0s out there getting beaten that guys dont go through 10 of em.

Ok I dont know the exact break down, but heres what has happened.

2 of the motors had flywheels that had wallowed out bolt holes for the tq converter. Making tons of noise, once he got the motors out he realized it was that, and just put in a new one anyways since he already got them.

I believe he hydro'd 3-4

Put rods through the side of one

And 2 of them had rods shot through the oil pan.

And as far as seeing it being done wrong, you sir have no idea what I have personally done with engine swaps, so who are you to judge me on that?

All I know is, you cant do it wrong. If its wrong, it doesent run. End of story.

Hes not building them from scratch, hes just dropping in all older 100K+ motors that are assembled like he did at the campground in PA.

And im not trying to like be 100% on dans side here, its just Ive seen him do over 5 of them, and its done correctly. There really isnt a way to mess it up.

We have a place called George Washington park, me and sam went yesterday. ITs just like long dirt roads with sharp turns until you get to the power lines. He pretty much rally races through them doing upwards of almost 70, constantly at 5K rpm. The poor things just cry.
