I've never owned a car that I cared about the paint on. I mean I would wash my cars and keep them clean, but I was never out there with 6 kinds of wax and filtered water.

The previous owner of my bike put some pretty bitchin swirl marks in the gas tank, and there are some marks on the rear fender I didn't see when I bought it. I want to get rid of that stuff and keep the chrome in good shape.

I pretty much know nothing, so any knowledge you bestow upon me I will be grateful for. I need products, steps, techniques, whatever. A lot of that stuff on the autism zone shelves seem gimmicky so I figured I'd ask before I wasted a shit ton of money buying stuff that doesn't work.

I always had good luck with Meguiars NXT Tech wax. I got the bottle and it lasted me a really long time. its about 15 bucks and works really well and is easy to use.

This is how ive always done it:
wash the car really well and let it dry completely before you start. Use the pad it comes with to buff on using circular motions (you can also use an electric buffer too if you have one). dont put to much on the pad either, but enough to do the area you are doing. once the whole car is done let it sit until the wax completely dries then wipe it off (using circular motions again) with a microfiber cloth or towel.

If you wanna know product lines....Meguiars overall is good across the board, although the turtle wax ice is good, and I do prefer their interior protectant to armor all because its leaves no grease, and it even works on fabric stains.
