I've lived in NY, palm beach fl, Seattle, Swaziland, Kabul, Paris, Nice, Cannes, after having lived first in Greenwich and then/now litchfield CT. Left 10 years ago and I came back, so that's gotta mean something. I would totally do it again, but still, I love it here. It's really the best (sometimes worst) of everything, but despite all the new bs regulations and shit it's still one of the best places outta them all to call home. Just my 02

I grew up in Muskegon, MI and then moved to Green Bay, WI where I graduated highschool. Was stationed in NC with the Marines and ended up staying for 12 years after I got out in Chapel Hill, NC. In 2002 I got recruited by another company and relocated to Ann Arbor, MI and then they closed that facility in 2008 and transfered me to Groton, CT. North Carolina was very nice and I like it out here except for all the regulations and taxes out the rear. My wife and I are currently looking for land in the Virginia/Tennessee area to buy and then build a retirement house. We'll see how that goes, but enjoy having 4 seasons so I can't go too far south

For a while I was thinking about North Carolina or Tennessee, but I'm really not a warm weather person. Work is the only thing that would potentially bring me there.

I have been looking into New Hampshire as a very real possibility.

That being said I love northern Arizona, western Maryland, and even West Virginia... If I found work I'd go to any of them.

I think the more I travel, the note I learn I hate CT, NY, MA area.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

Litchfield county is a really nice place to live in CT. I've lived in California City and Palm Coast Fl. Kent is a pretty sweet town and there are plenty of rich people you can slave for. I definitely can agree that Flagstaff is pretty sweet too. Cali is pretty cool but the people are too laid back for my tastes.

I'm getting fed up with CT. Been spinning my wheels for ever and not getting anywhere.
My wife's family moved to NC, I actually have an interview down there in 2 weeks.
I'll miss it here but the more I think about, the nicer weather actually places to wheel and half the price for houses, the more I like NC.

CT is a good place to be, at least in terms of my career.

Within travel of boston and NYC and I can still head to the white mountains or maryland in a quick drive.

I moved from Connecticut to Montana 2 years 2 months ago.
Planned on staying for 5 months & going back to school to get a Masters.

I haven't been back to Connecticut since Thanksgiving Day 2011. Not even to visit.
