If you can use that cummins whenever you want, Get a car. In August I bought a 94 f350 turbo idi for 3 grand. I have since replaced both fuel tanks, glow plugs, glow plug controller, fuel pump, fuel pump selector, and a few smaller things. It might not have needed all those things, but I'm not a diesel mechanic. I did what it took to get it on the road and driving me to work. oh and $50 for motor oil and filter.
Do your self a favor, get a $2000 car and fix its problems for under $3000.

dude buy an old car for $700 on CL and just drive it. run it into the ground and who cares, best vehicles i've ever had were all POS beaters. then you can drive it into the ground like your XJ and not care too muchComment
