    I believe it is, or something very close. I'm serious when I say it's crazy. You have to be careful using it. It will snap bolts like crazy, but batteries last all day and you can do anything with it.

      Dans snap on is my vote....im sure you can get a good used one thatll be better than any new one out there....hes probably still on his first charge ....seriously that battery lasts forever even while doing stuff like lugnuts and untorqueing knuckles etc....

      stay away(obviously) from cheap shit like HFT impacts ...resist the urge to waste 75.00....instead buy some scratch tickets...youll have better luck....seriously

          Not reading through this entire thread but here's my input;

          I have a 3/8" M18 Milwaukee impact. Thing works AWESOME for all sorts of stuff. Nice and compact and light for doing all sorts of work when you don't feel like spinning a ratchet.

          Struggles a little bit but can normally (not if i impact them on with my 1/2" snap on air impact) remove them. I'd say most smaller cars it would have no problem removing the lug nuts, but it does struggle on the jeep ones sometimes.

          The 3/8" one is rated for 167 ft. pounds of torque which is pretty impressive for a 3/8 impact. Battery life is also phenomenal.

          I have never used it, but they also make a 1/2" cordless impact. I can't speak for it but it's rated for 450 ft. pounds. It's bigger and bulkier and looks heavier which is why i bought the 3/8" once. Nice and compact.

          **EDIT** Just saw that IR one in this thread, and quite honestly that thing looks bad fucking ass. Over 1,000 ft. pounds? I can't even imagine that in cordless.

            Pete and I rebuilt the whole TJ in the driveway with it. I bought it because my compressor at home couldnt keep up with my titanium or any air tools for that matter.

            I will put mine up against a snap on any day

            97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.

                I can rip studs off with my snap on, not to mention it comes with a snap on warranty

                Just like u guys would say buy a warn, even tho it cost twice thebprice of a super-winch or w.e cheaper brand, the same goes with the impact

                  Snap on warranty on electric tools like these isnt lifetime or anything like that. I think only a year. And if you need any repairs you have to pay for them after that. At least thats what my snap on guy said

                    What would be the minimum of FT. LB. Bolt Break Away Torque (BBT) that you should look for to break lugs in a impact?
