there is no way i could have this b4 RC. way to much shit to cut, grind, weld, measure... oh and $$$$$$$$$$$ ill be at 6"s though

the axles are at 3.55 and that wont do for 36's so i need to regear both. i need to order custom weld on brackets for everything and get new rims/tires. lots to be dont yet. will be together by the end of the summer though i hope

              ok thats better.....

so who wants to offer up words of wisdome as to exactly how i should go about doing this. im looking to keep cost at a minimum yet dont want to half as it.

my truck will have 6" lift i plan on running 36's with 4.56 gears locked F/R
i need the best way to get these axles set up for a bolt in swap.

              GO.....

its gonna cost you a bunch.

full truss up front, alloys f/r, lockers, nice steering, brackets, long arms, good shocks/springs....

                  and i'd go to 5.38s.

I would truss both and run something in the 5.xx range. No knuckles or shafts? You going to keep them that wide? How about engaging the front vacuum disconnect? What is the spline count in the rear? AND the real question is how are you going to get these down to FL?

The late model Dodge’s really should not be in consideration for a swap because they are lacking in two critical areas that are usually desirable to XJers. They have no provision to move the steering up to the top of the knuckle “high steer”, and they have no lockout hubs. They use a vacuum disconnect familiar to the early XJ’s. They also have little aftermarket support as far as axleshafts, etc.

my advice: spend 100-150 bucks and get a manly 44

Trade that front for a LP 44 out of a wagoneer.

It is a much better base.

Better aftermarket, not vacuum disco etc etc.

Sweet score on the 60 though.
