Yes its going to the outside of the arc. If its centripetal force how do you figure the center is out of the rotating body? When you put something into a centrifuge, whatever is in the test tube goes to the outside of the test tube (outside of the arc because they spin in a circle).

    Same concept.

BTW its not called a centrepifuge

All of the Centrifugal pumps on the ship have suction eyes in the center of a round impeller and force the water out of the arc toward the outer radius of the pump. Was Newton wrong all these years?

        Definitions:

        centrifugal force
        — n
a fictitious force that can be thought of as acting outwards on any body that rotates or moves along a curved path
        centrifugal force
        noun
an outward "force" on a body rotating about an axis, assumed equal and opposite to the centripetal force and postulated to account for the phenomena seen by an observer in the rotating body.
        Centrifugal Force:
A non existent force which is actually the absence of a centripetal force.

        Centripetal Force:
A center seeking net force that is required to keep moving objects in a circular path. If the requirement is not met, then objects move into larger curved paths or go off on a tangent as they follow Newton's First Law.
I'm just being a ball breaker because technically something can't be center-fleeing unless it's accelerating on an axis, like a pump.

You're also not talking about linear motion here

And get off Wiki-answers. You should know all this shit especially if you're taking dynamics

i'm not wiki answers anything, i dictionary.com'ed the defintions

I was just busting will's stones because technically Centrifugal Force isn't a "force" it's an illusion.

The lack of centripedal force along with the momentum from traveling in a straight line at 90 mph is the actual force behind the kid's head coming off.

It has both inertia and momentum of which the car and the body had both if you want to argue that, those are the forces that make up centrifugal force

this is the most truth you said, however centripetal force didn't cause it. Thats like like blaming gravity for something in space

If you walk into a physics classroom, and say that Centrifugal force did something, like rip someone's head off their body, that professor is going to yell at you, and then yell at you again.

Jon i know what your talking about, but technically there is no such thing as centrifugal force, it's an illusion. I'll keep saying it.

Then momentum and inertia (which is what its made of) did it. You can't start talking about lack of something in explaining it.

If thats the case then this sentence is correct:

Egypt isn't America because its lack of a state called New York

Call it whatever you want its from a force formally known as centrifugal but its caused by two forces that when combined make of the illusion of centrifugal force.

                            Now get off google
