what should the american govt do? continue to aid the african govt. until Kony is captured, not only for the livelyhood of these children but to make a statement that if 'we the people' push hard enough, we still have control over this corrupt Govt. when we assemble for one common belief/goal...i think the message is just as important as the task at hand...that we the people still have SOME pull...cause voting isnt enough...whichever way you vote, we're still fucked.

But, in all honesty, what exactly do you want the American government to do?

In the grand scheme of things, there are a multitude of other crises that are more crucial to the livelihoods of Americans than Joseph Kony, sad as that may be.

I expect the African Governments to do absolutely nothing, just like they have always done. We could give them every cent on this planet and still the African Governments would do nothing. One government drove all the white farmers from their homes and then the rest of the country starved. Makes sense, right?

People getting murdered in Africa is seriously nothing new. I'll watch the video when I get home, but don't expect some life changing epiphany to occur.

I'm a little confused here. You say you want our Government to step in to show that we can police the world. You also continue to say "we the people" and I'm unsure if you're referring to American citizens or the American Government... This is then followed with that we the people should have some pull because voting doesn't work. This makes me think you're referring to the American people doing it without our government because we're fucked whichever way we vote. However, it started out with our government stepping in...

So, again, all previous ball busting posts aside...

no im saying that i want the govt. to step in and continue to do so not because THEY want to but cause the citizens came together on a common agreement and FORCED the govt. to...not just cause its benefitting us, but cause for once in history all differences aside us citizens worked as a whole...if we spent this much time working together on ALL issues and less time disagreeing we'd live in a much better world.
