  • The First Annual SiS "King of the Hackjobs" competition - Fenders

The ultimate show down. Who holds the title for worst fender flares in the history of SiSOffRoad. It is down to two.

Which is worse? Is it the infamous Joe Nitro and his angular terribleness? or newcomer, Matt, and his randomly riveted flap mounting?

    Joe Nitro:

    Matt:

    Nitro
    57.58%
    19
    Matt

i can see where haphazardly random cut flaps of sheet metal with random pop rivets all over it is time and effort

looks to me like joe still has the crown in this one. I think matt's idea started out decently, then he just got pissed off and said fuck it lets go to rivet town.

5 more mins of consideration in either case would have yielded better results.

I'm going with Nitro's because Confetti Fruitloop's flares don't look like they were cut with a hacksaw.

Matts got my vote. He could have at least put the flaps on the inside of the fender and an even spaced, level rivot line with less rivots. He was definitely in pissed the fawk off mode during installation. At least Joes were attached cleanly. Also, I'm not all that against the diamond plate anyway. Not saying its the shit, I just don't mind it too much.

For some reason looking at this picture

makes me want a budweiser, and I don't drink budweiser.

Agreed. The flare itself looks okay, but then the flaps on the outside look like given up and just slap it together to have them mounted. I also don't understand why it extends to the down past the bumper.

I'm with Ryan on this one. Joe at least gave it the old college try. It kinda looks like Matt played Pin the Fender on the XJ

Probably didn't help that I was standing there telling him how much they sucked during installation.

gotta go to the new guy for biggest hack. Only because it looks like it started as a good idea and just ran away into a mess of shit. It had potential to be decent.
Joe at least executed his idea. Even they are ugly as shit and stick out past the tire like 72'.
