A worthy rifle? Want to get an assaultish rifle, hoffmans has a special on this gun for 599. Any opinions?

I don't know anything about guns, but I figure I'll pul some smoke and mirror tactics on you and say that $600 for an AR15 is a damn good price and Smith and Wesson makes a good AR.

My friend bought one a few months ago about the same time I bought my saiga. It shoots well probably has close to 1000 rounds without any issues. I say it's worth the money but, also take a look at the bushmasters they have for ether $699 or $799 (can't remember) they have a carbon composite reciever and come with a red dot. They thing is really nice and under 6lbs.Rice

I didn't buy it, I really want to build one. Hoffman's didn't have any lowers for sale and won't have any until maybe sometime january. I stopped by a local shop and he happened to have one armalite lower for $150, it's mine. I really want to build a pre-ban but I don't feel like waiting forever to find a lower to do it. So i'll have this AR until i find a pre-ban lower to build, now the fun begins!
I'm looking at armalite uppers but am open to suggestions, any recommendations?Comment
