I need you to look at this.

Lauren's grandfather had this and her dad let me take a look. I would like to know more about this so I can give her dad a back story. I think it may have been used for salesmen to bring to other stores. I really am not sure. The type of rounds say Kleanbore on them and the rifle/pistol rounds have the regular cal. markings.

That's pretty fucking sweet. I'm going to say that you're right on that one as far as the salesman's kit. The shotgun cartridge cutouts were used to showcase the different loads that Remington offered as wells as all the different cartridges that Remington Union Metallic Cartridge put out. Without a doubt that case and all those cartridges in there were manufactured right in Bridgeport. That white strip are the different primers Remington used, which is pretty sweet. I'd like to see that some time.

EDIT: There are also some really old school 22 and 30 caliber rimfire cartridges in the top left.

Kleanbore is the name of the Primer that Remington used and it also became a trademark for the company because they were designed to leave minimal residue in the bore...hence...kleanbore.

the rounds also have cut-outs and there is even airrifle pellets still in the box stamped from bridgeport ct

Its really awesome that nail is connected to a cartridge like the modern anchor rounds today.

Ha, that's pretty sweet, didn't even realize that was a nail gun round. Shit was beastmode back then. Now most cartridge fired nail guns use .22 blanks.

Showed these pictures to my boss and he said the same thing - it's a traveling salesman's kit. Estimated worth is like $800-$1000.
