  • Will: this thread is for you... Winter drivers.

Is it just me or did people forget how to drive in the snow?

no joke, i watched someone in a honda civic lock up their brakes, go across someones front yard and over a 6ft stone wall into the persons driveway.

people don't know how to drive. period.
No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.

4wd or awd doesn't make you bulletproof or make it easier to stop, it only makes it mildly easier to stay moving in the direction you want. People take it as carte blanche to drive like aholes in the snow.

we're qualified to drive in the snow from our experience driving in offroad conditions and not driving like frilly-nancy little school girls

I drive super slow in the snow. I don't feel like dying. I assume that means I'm a bad snow driver due to that fact that I drive with cautiously.

There are obviously bad drivers out there in general (speeding, reckless, yadda yadda) and as much as I would hate to agree with Will, (and believe me, I hate it) I don't really understand how people can bitch about others being poor drivers when road conditions and weather are generally unpredictable at any given time.
Is it egg nog season yet?

I was actually referring to those people that refuse to slow down in inclement weather...

Had to drive down to New Haven right as the snow started, and I lost count of how many people were in ditches on the side of the road, or stuck in the middle of the road facing the wrong way because they had spun out.
