Are you paranoid about vehicle fires?

My jeeps never been on fire...but with the risk, im pretty paranoid about vehicle fire, especially with all I have invested

cheap insurance on todays woot..it isnt a normal extinguisher. its foam based and not messy chem stuff. i looked up a lot of demos on it and it seems like a cool little unit to have around in addition to a normal extinguisher

figured id pass it along to my other fire-prone vehicle enthusiasts

Any of that AFFF or Protein foam is good stuff. We have 4 stationary foam stations on the ship and several portable units. The good thing about it is if you have an oil fire, it smothers the fire but doesn't spread the liquid. As long as you keep it covered in foam the chemical chain reaction breaks because you take away the O2

we had halon system in the race cars. its placed at four points in the compartment to the roll cage with little sprinkler head things and you pull one tab no more fire. also had to valves in the engine compartment and in the fuel cell area. some pretty cool shit.
