job interviews

So.... I had a job interview today. Most people on here probably have?

I can't imagine it having gone much worse. It was a phone interview for a job on the left coast. The guy pretty much ended the interview after 10 minutes saying I wasn't what "they" were looking for. Anyone ever have a shitty interview before? I even took a half day at work for this shit.

I didn't have any expectations going into the interview because the job is 3000 miles away & a position higher than I am currently in. I applied because they are a customer of ours & just happened to see the opening when browsing their site. I have a job lined up to start the end of November that goes through the end of April that I will probably end up taking. Planning on starting school again late August 2012.

I guess to sum it up... Anyone ever a bad interview experience? I've had some not great interviews, but this was just fucking ridiculous.

temporary job working in the office at a ski resort on the west coast. Travel the world May, June, & July. Start school in August.

I probably interviewed with a dozen employers after college. The first interview was terrible, but the rest all went well. The first that went terrible was with Enterprise actually. Isn't that where Pete works? Was actually in Fairfield.

I think this guy had no idea what he was doing.

where exactly are you looking to go?

Possibly Europe or Southeast Asia. I have a friend who is interested in doing both, but I'm not opposed to traveling by myself.

Possibly New Zealand... I have a 1 year work permit for the country. Got up to a third interview for a one year contract job there that fell through in June.

Sort of nervous about making 60% or so less than I make now & then full time school w/ no income.

but sort of want another piece of paper in addition to the piece of paper I bought from Quinnipiac so i can hopefully make 20% more than I currently do.
