Glad to hear everyone up in CT is safe. Sorry to hear many of you dont have power. Considering the storm was pretty strong when it made landfall over NC/VA, we faired pretty good down here. I evacuated out to TN, but I had planned on going to the Bristol Night race out there anyway last weekend so it was convenient that storm hit when it did. Uncle Sam paid for Gas + Hotels + Nascar tickets + food and beer. Cant beat that lol. We only lost power for less than a day, most of Virginia has power back already, id say 98% of my town had it back by Sunday. Kinda pissed I wasnt able to ride it out because I think it would have been pretty fun. 15-18 foot waves @ VA beach is a sight id like to see. Anywho, glad everyone made it out alright.

Also, check out this picture one of my friends took on the outer banks, hatteras island to be exact. Hours before the storm made landfall.

My father still doesn't have power in Milford because a fallen tree had taken out a telephone pole down the street and when the workers went to replace the pole, they ruptured a gas line, so now they are waiting for the gas company to fix the ruptured line before they can replace the pole, clear the trees and restore power.

your dad's neighborhood was hit pretty freaking hard, i've never seen more uprooted trees and snapped telephone poles in one condensed area before. not to mention the destruction down by the beach, still havent loaded my photos yet.... probably should get on that.

Yeah, there was a fallen swamp maple that was in their backyard and it fell into and across the street, taking out power lines and the sidewalk itself.

that picture is insane. it reminds me of james and the giant peach with the rhino that comes out of the clouds. totally scared the shit out of me when i was little. please tell me someone knows that i'm talking about haha

That was fucking epic. if it weren't for the rock star logo this would be one of my favorite videos of all time. I love how he passes another jet ski and stops at a stop sign to let a truck go and gets air off of the wake of a pickup truck. that is just plain epic.
