TORC Shortcourse vs. NASCAR

a few of you know that i used to drive those roundie round cars. I love nascar always will always have. something about beating and banging your way around a track at 200 miles an hour. granted i wasnt the fastest nor was i the best.



but short course is some cool shit right there lol. i vote short course.

i will say NASCAR, the only people that hate on it are the ones that 1. don't understand and 2. have never been to a race.

Honestly standing at the backstretch at stafford is more exhilarating and deffinately more exciting that any offroad race i have ever been too, that's saying alot considering i filmed shannon campbell one shotting backdoor. EPIC, yes. but some sk modifieds beat that any day. sorry.

all your off road races are all long distance dual/single start endurance races, which isnt what we are talking about

the thing is i am not doubting the fun factor of nascar

what i dont understand is how its better than the same thing but on dirt with jumps whoops and drifting with constant vehicle tangling

i have never been to a TORC race nor a NASCAR race

i love watching the TORC races when they're on speed, just like i love NASCAR races too. and formula 1.

I truly just love racing, if there are cars [ushing the limit and going fast then i watch it. You turn my tv on and Speed Network is where it starts.

being up against the wall when cars go by you literally inches and feet apart at close to 200 mph is an awesome experience.

THat being said...... that class 1 baja car i got to ride in last saturday epic. I giggled and chuckled the whole goddamn time.

I love racing, i love rockcrawling, i love ultra 4, i would kill to run the baja 1000 just like my dream job is to work at a chassis shop with one of the big nascar teams. If i didn't love offroading as much as i do i wouldn't be building a buggy i'd be building a open wheel modified.

they're literally such different forms of racing.

The contact you get in offroad racing is so much different than the contact in a circle track race, that also be said, there is pretty much no contact or emotion in sunday afternoon cup races. It's friday or saturday night at a local speedway, where the bumping and grinding and spining out and fights all take place. It really is an experience only summed up by being there.

The road racing has its place too, from what i've watched you race against a clock.

circle track is everyone go, someone finish first. Yea it looks like a bunch of left hand turns but it really is so much more. How far can you push the line to win??

In reality it is a very long drag race, a dead sprint for first place.

did you ever stand on the backstretch looking out the entrance to the track as they enter turn three? you can watch them hit that little bump that if u hit it right will squat your cardown and right through the turn.

I dont really enjoy nascar or watchin it for the simple fact that its a bunch of dudes driving around an oval(even tho I have family that affiliated with nascar), But thats just me..
