They are, but "Dodge" still appears in places on the truck itself.

Gay. They should make a Jeep pickup solely for the purpose to steal sales from the Rams anyway.

I don't think that jeep should even try to compete in a full size truck market. They could be very successful in the light truck area using many current parts being produced for other models.

Not that a jeep pickup for a tow rig wouldn't be cool. But, realistically they could do a light pickup easily compared to having to setup a whole full size truck.

Any truck Jeep would end up making would be based off the Wrangler.

Jeep wouldn't be allowed to consider building a full size truck

im pretty sure (i know for a fact) that the jk-8 kit has been made available through mopar.... somithing like 5400 bux or something

so you can have a jeep pickup. and is about as close as you can get to the gladiator.

edit: didnt read the whole thread. was beat to it

No one buys the dakota anyway. And, the dakota is a mid size truck. If Jeep builds anything like the Gladiator, it would probably be a bit smaller.

In '99, 144,000 dakotas were sold. Last year, they sold 13,000. Sounds like a dead vehicle to me
