  • Help me ponder SiS...

So the other day I picked up an 88 Samurai Tintop from my neighbor, and I've been considering selling the jeep in favor of this.

I've got toyota axles for it already and other goodies I just have lying around, but I don't know if its worth it.

Lend me your thinking caps SiS, to jeep, or to jap, that's my question.

    Jeep over Jap

what would make it worth it over the Jeep?

it would be sweet to have, but the jeep is already done... remember how long it took to put your front axle in?

we want to wheel with you. not always say dillon cant come cause his sammi isn't built yet

keep the jeep as a trail rig, and do a mild build on the sammi for DD/occasional wheeling

I own the sammy, so im gonna build it somehow.

I like the simplicity of the sammy as well as the idea of having frame to work with.

I would keep the jeep as a trail rig but cherokee on 33's with stockish axles seems less trail rig then the sammy with toy axles and 35's or whatevs

keep both until built, pick your favorite, and sell the other (or don't). I love sammys I feel you can find a beat one pretty cheap, built it on the cheapish side, and wheel the hell out of it.

Does it have the original engine and transmission?

Slap some 35s and race it in the KOH stock class

Or slap a front locker open rear with cutting brakes and some 33s and it is a awesome setup for class 1 rock crawling.
