Dream 1911 (and variants) thread.

The time is coming when I'll be picking up my first handgun and I have decided to get a commander sized 1911 bobbed for less printing. My first pistol will be a Dan Wesson Valor (or Classic) bobtail, black on black.



Wanted to see what 1911's you would have if you could have your dream version.

If you want less printing, get an IWB holster.

I'm a fullsize 1911 guy, so either a Kimber Custom TLE/RL II or a Springfield Armory Operator (I hate that name and it's printed on the side of the slide) because I do like the Rail.

I like the 4.25 but no shorter. Not a fan of bull-barrels or "lightweight" guns. I do like full size, but for my first peice and the fact that it's going to be my daily carry, I'm going with commander sized. I might get an XD next, or a colt government model. That is a sweet looking Kimber though!

I just bought this last week. I shot it today and am pleased. I did ask to order a TRP but they couldn't get me one. It shoots great. Trigger is ok, not like Phil's but good for a stocker.

I know it's silly, but I do still LOVE the look of The Punisher's Colts



If the colts in "Face-Off" were chrome instead of gold, they would be a nice set of twins as well...

I was thinking about Kimber as well as Para, but I decided on the DW for my first and then if I want something else, I'll save up for one of those after.
