They aren't actual beadlocks. My friend Austin has the exact 3 rims that were on the guys vehicle.

My buddy Johns dad is best friends with the owner of EVB and he got the 3 rims for free. This was all before anyone new about hairline fractures. Now they're just sitting in the basement

I would bet that EVB installed the tires with ether and the guy smoked!!!!
Left over ether compress more air into the tire BOOM.
Only thing I can think of.

I made one of the cheata tanks the blast air to seat the bead.
120psi and 1" ball valve not that loud at all and not enough to hurt anyone.
no 35psi is going explode a tire. a crack in the rim is not going to explode.

hmmm i have "acute acoustic trauma" tinnitus. If i filed a claim with the VA i would be lucky to get a 0% disability rating. How fucking loud could the tire be? I got mine from TOW missles and a .50. It's total bullshit. The guy claims that this once incident caused his hearing loss/ringing. How about wearing headphones for fucking 20 years for his job? I'm sure than had no effect on his hearing. My friend is a mechanic over there and he said they blew the bead on a tire on the tire machine w/ 30 psi in to see how loud it was. He said it was nothing compared to how loud an air chisel is. There's pictures of the guys rig floating around too of it flopped and shit. How can they be responsible a product that is meant to be abused and they didn't make in the first place? Lawsuits like this are fucking this country up. The worst part about this is that EVB's insurance policy only covered up to 1 mil. That means 500k out of pocket.

the other thing is that no normal jury people understand offroad stuff. They have no idea what a beadlock is or how it works. They also don't understand the abuse that that type of rim takes. How can they make an accurate decision as to who is at fault when they don't understand the problem in the first place?

My friend Jeremy worked at a sears in PA a while back and he had a crazy experience with shit like this. They had this lady who would come back every couple of weeks with a blown out tire. When I say blown out I mean blown the fuck out. He said these tires would come in with huge spits in them.

Eventually they sent out one of the tires to the company where it was tested. The test guys said they tires had between 80 and 120 psi in them. They were on some little tiny car too. Apparently after they put tires on this lady's car she would go to a gas station and put air in the tires until the pump stopped pumping.
