the 4WD gets me everywhere esp this winter, but to work and back home is 70 miles; to work to school to home is 103 miles....... with gas on the rise... it's a painful daily driver. and i almost never do below 75 on a highway so i basically put about $80-100 a week into that gas tank
This is my issue. I now am stuck driving my wife's corolla because being on the road with the Jeep just doesn't make sense. I drive all over CT in the corolla for work and she drives less than 1 mile to work and yet we fill the Jeep up just as often.

I love driving my Jeep and take it everywhere on the weekends, but seeing gas getting close to $4/gallon in some areas makes me appreciate the corolla

one of the best things i ever did was stop DDing a (my) jeep

you get to keep everything awesome about the jeep, and drive it whenever you want..
but not have to RELY on it, which is the key.

This is what I like about having another car but I don't quite see the reasoning behind keeping a car that will end up costing me more in the long run. I've already put almost a grand into fixing the most important things

Then sell it and buy a reliable car.
