ultra 4 races are about so much more than just the car itself and the driver, to be like "holy shit, this car is the most awesomest, end all, be all" after one race is mehhhh lame.

finish by 30 minutes at every race for the whole season and maybe i'll rethink that.

isn't erik leading or in second in the points right now??? to me that's much more impressive that an out east car can go out west and do that. Consistency is better.

i guess i dont understand what it takes to impress you with an off road car, or your basis for being impressed

if youre impressed by a bomber chassis, but not this, i'll go on record saying that makes literally zero sense period.

I bet you could put JT taylor in any out of the box Jimmy's 4x4truck and granted there were no major breaks or technical issues, he would have run the same race he ran in that thing.

Bomber 1 and 2 are way cooler that thing and you cannot deny it, and lets face it they still work, just like shannon's too. When they don't have technical issues they usually are right up front. But then again didn't Slawson's bomber 2 come in 3rd??

however JT always has driven a different car before this...its the tubeshark car (his personal)..there is no chance in hell the tubeshark car would have placed like the TTB car...and thats a pretty good buggy. any out of the box jimmys car, there were plenty of good jimmys drivers there that tanked on course(nick nelson and loren healy to name a couple)...and JT and the TTB placed ahead of both drivers youve mentioned in this thread (erik and randy) by a large margin

JT didnt run a clean race at stampede...they stopped for over 20 minutes (as did others, but its all relative)and STILL won by that margin , for what its worth. having seen this car work in the hardest canyon in reno, and the fast stuff..i will say im impressed.. i aint gonna convince you to be impressed too, but the craftsmanship is what this thread is all about and i feel like it isnt even opinion based..the rig is 100% just as good as anything else that i have seen at every race ive been to, if not the best yet as far as that goes. its fine to think it isnt as "cool" as a bomber rig, the bombers are still my fav cars..however the TTB car is impressive by definition

Well i'm impressed that it works, impressed by the craftmanship that went into it, but i still am not overall impressed by the car itself, maybe i just cannot get past the TTB itself. I can garuntee if they just used a regular independent front, i'd probably feel different about the car.
