There is a lot of excellent fabricators out there.
This truck was built very well. I like how low everything is and the vision it has.
I don't believe a 3/4/TTB/Double Wishbone has any huge advantage over the next any fast car with no issues can win any day.
Hell Clayton came in 2nd by 30secs in RCQ with air shocks stock 4.0L there is a lot that goes into who wins.
This is the best part about this sport everyone has a different idea of what is the ultimate combination front engine rear engine suspension style auto standard V8 4cly turbo supercharger whatever your heart desires. Or wallet can afford.
It is just the same amount of competition for the fabricators and the designers to build a car that can last as it is for the driver to race

i agree mostly with what you said, but look at 2010 RCQ and 2011. or hell look at clayton at king of the hammers. a car like the clayton car (as much as i like the guys) has no chance at a race like KOH or RCQ these days (or stampede) and they know it for sure. the bar has been raised far beyond 2009 RCQ to the point that 2009 RCQ feels like another era

event wins speak for themselves, especially west coast. great drivers with great cars
2009 KOH - jason scherer, retardedly expensive retardedly high horsepower car
2010 KOH - loren healy, same as above
2010 RCQ - derek west, same as above
2010 IEC - erik miller, same as above
2010 Stampede - shannon campbell, speaks for itself
2011 LCQ - randy slawson - same as above
2011 KOH - shannon campbell, speaks for itself
2011 SS300 - shannon campell, speaks for itself
2011 RCQ - rusty bray - dont know much about his car, but i assume at least 350HP and expensive build.
2011 ARC - kevin sacalas, expensive way high horsepower...and shannon basically had it won but his motor went off in the last moments.
2011 Stampede - JT taylor - RETARDEDLY EXPENSIVE high horsepower
2011 RCrocs Series - Erik Miller, he swept the entire series winning by no less than 20 minutes every race of the year.
Lucas murphy has been the one exception to retardedly expensive fanciness, but even he has a load of cash into suspension and a big powerful high horse motor
the days of winning or placing well in a rock crawler are gone
with that said, footage from stampede of the ttb

I think that in a series like RCrocs, it's possible to be consistent and to actually do well in a properly built racer with a 4.0L. I think the big thing really is keeping the car together, being able to crawl well, corner well, and have the suspension tuned right to mantain speed in the middle rocky green trailish crap. Out west, thats a different story. No worries, I'm not actually back, I'm just reminiscing about the old days.
