here's a novel concept:

school is tough, sometimes you gotta stay up late and drink soda to stay awake while you type.

Whether the professor fucked up or whether he is using semantics and doctrine-loopholes, his choice to administer both assignments looks better in the eyes of the college and its director board, then if he were to just say "everyone gets 5% free."

I understand that its not your fault, but someone, aware of the policy, could have told the professor in advance. But he's got bills to pay and a respectable position to upkeep just liek da rest o us.

That being said dude i feel yinz pain, within the last 5 days ive written 80 pages of work

See, I dont agree, I feel that the students were taken advantage of, and because of this, not only may students' grades in this class suffer because of this slip up, but also grades in other classes, as time that should be devoted to studying for exams now goes into this other assignment.

And before we get into the argument that college is supposed to prepare you for the real world, and that sometimes you get thrown a "curveball" at work, and that you need to be able to handle it... well that argument is bullshit, because, you see, you get paid for work. you arent paying to work.

College is now a service industry, no longer university as it once was. Its just shitty that the product is a bunch of bullshit.

It's shitty, we all agree. It's also college and that's the way the cookie crumbles. If you fail the class, there is always the option of taking it the next level and fighting for the grade, with a more polished argument, I'm sure you could pull a C.

He chose this professor, He PAID for this professor to teach him, to help in expand his mind, to further him in life... HE MADE THIS CHOICE.

And you dont always get to choose your Professors. Sometimes there is only one that offers the course you need to further your major, or one that fits in your schedual to keep you graduating on time.

And further, I dont think Josh was whining in the least bit. He has the right to be legit pissed. I would be. The fact is that it is BS.

as Chris said you are paying to go to school, yes, but you're paying to be challenged and coem away with something that proves you are capable. You dont pay college tuition to be handled like a ceramic egg and babied JMO

Josh im not hating on ya, or wishing you ill, but man ive been boned by teachers so many times i just prepare to be dissapointed. I hope you can talk some sense into the teacher or at the very least pull through, ace the whole thang and stick it right up the prof's poopshoot

I know it sounds kinda shitty, but I would be happy with how it turned out... You still have the test which is now only 10% and the other 5% is made up of an assignment you can take out of class and use resources for. If you put the time in to complete the assignment, you get a free 5%. It ends up being a win.
