these cameras having the ability to shoot HD is just an amenity. if youre shooting for the purpose of creating cinema, use a goddamn video camera. like i said before, the only upperhand these things have over XHA1s, sony V1Us, your panasonic... is that they come with the ability to change lenses. everything else is not purpose made for cinema.

its honestly not that impressive, except for the fact that its a DSMC. if you saw that expecting HDV footage you'd be disappointed. the whites are blown out to all hell (probably just overexposed though), theres not enough contrast in the bright areas, and the harsh bokeh is gross on film.
