ATTN: Video/Photo or anyone with Common Sense

Here's my predicament..

I have the Panasonic HMC150


Beautiful camera, getting some nice images out of it, but its big, and cost me around $3500

Now this new camera coming out, the Panasonic Lumix GH1
Its a DSLR that shoots HD video, which is awesome, it allows me to take pictures and shoot video, which are two things I love. and its will be under $1500 with a nice lense.




Problems:
Might have some Rolling Shutter/Skew when watching it... in stupid terms (For you alex)
When turning the camera left to right, right to left, it looks as though straight lines (be it skyscrapers, colums or light posts) look kinda leaning over

^^^^ Thats an extreme version of skew, thats like putting Michael J Fox on steroids and taping the camera to his hand... yes that bad



What Should I do? Either stay with the cam, that I like, but not in love with, or move to a camera that I will be happier with, but may have to face a few problems and situations I can't be in

I was just being an asshole. Neither is my jeep.
And I use throw away camera's.

That was my beef...

You have Video Cameras that take terrible Stills

and DSLR's that take terrible video

But of what I've seen with the Nikon D90 and the Canon 5D MarkII and now with the very mch improved GH1... DSLR's are getting to be in the ranks of awesomeness..


Plus its Panasonic making the camera, and almost everything they've made in a certain category has boomed that category... (Look at the history of the DVX/HVX)

I'm torn between Canon and Nikon in DSLR categories, they both offer such high points in repects, but I would pull canon over a nikon, though Nikon Primes are so much sharper than Canon primes.

but I've seen some beautiful images taken with the G1, the last incarnation of Panasonic DSLR...

In other news, panasonic aquired Pioneers technology for the TVs and now will be making the best tvs ever lol
