The people who blow up abortion clinics are terrorists, and not muslims.

They have a right to build their shit wherever they want regardless of what a few of their countrymen did.

Stop and think before you formulate an opinion, when people get all fired up they usually stop thinking.

Finally, someone who knows what they are talking about

First of all, the site were the proposed mosque will be built is a building that had parts of the air craft come through its roof. Yes It may be two blocks away from what we call "ground zero," in reality not so far away when you think about it. Yes they do have every constitutional right to build it however, the people who are against it have every right to petition it. Its not about whether it is constitutional, its about whether or not it is morally right. The Imam who wants to build the Mosque has said that he will not move the mosque even though he has been offered other places to move it. He also refuses to denounce and other Muslims who have commited terrorist acts against the U.S. or Hezbolla. If you knew anything aboutwhat Islam means and the Quran says, you would know that it says that Islam is the only acceptable religion and to kill or to cut the hands and feet off of all non believers. Islam has a history of building these "Super Mosques" if you will, in places that they have had victories. There is a reason they want it built here, and its not because they want to hold hands and be all Multi-culti!
This is not to say that there are not good people that subscribe to the muslim faith. However in my opinion they are not true Muslims. Just like you can not be a moderate Jew, or Catholic. You either completely devote yourself to a religion or you don't and if you don't you are considered a heathen. You can not be a half, Muslim. Do a little research and you will see.

There will continue to be a lot of opposition to Mosques in this country. Why? Because, of a little thing called Sharia law. I'm not gonna get all into it, you can look it up yourself, and what is happening in regards to this in Europe. Just my .02

Have you ever read the bible? Are you a christian? If so do you believe we should stone women who cheat on their husbands or kill your children if you hear voices in your head telling you do do so?

All of the 3 abrahamic religions are pretty violent and cruel when you really read into them. Thats not to say all the people who follow them are.

The difference is, Christianity and Judaism have evolved, Muslim "extremists" have not. They would like everyone to subscribe to Allah and for us all to live back in the 16th century. Technology, (Western Civilization) infringes on their religion, and this is one reason they seek to destroy us and change our fundamentals. Other religions do not actively follow such things as stoning women. However, Sharia Law embraces these concepts. The chief elements of Sharia Law are first: a belief that women are deficient in their natural and “innate” potentials and abilities, including their psychological-makeup and intellectual capacity. Is this type of thinking really something you want to encourage in your country? And If you think there is really a seperation of Church and State, you are blind. Our Taxpayer dollars just recently paid for this Imam to travel the friggen world to raise money for this thing. But when we question the sources, nobody wants to tell us if terrorist organizations may be funding it. Its more than just about whether they have the right to build it. People are afraid of what is happening across Europe were the State is to worried about political correctness, to stop Sharia law from disregarding the laws of their own land. In other words, these communities are allowed to operate with Sharia law as the main governing system of law, without regard to the Law of the State. There is something wrong with this is my eyes. Its called oppression. And unfortunately religion is used as an excuse to allow this to happen. In my opinion Sharia Law is not that unlike Nazism. I don't want this happening in my country. I don't know about you.
