How many of you know anyone well that is Muslim?

I know a few... and they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet.

IT IS THE PHAWKING MUSLIM EXTREMISTS THAT GIVE THE MUSLIMS A BAD NAME. Non-Jihad/normal everday non-extremist muslims are just another everyday person following a "higher calling."(whether you believe in "higher beings" or not is negligible.)

I don't have any extremely religious friends, Muslim included. I'm not even sure if the general populous of SiS offroad goes to church every Saturday or Sunday.

I do go to church every sunday(when I am not with SIS). But I don't really advertise(if you will) because meh, I am not the one to be "that wacko christian guy who is so ZOMG JESUS'Y". I pretty much only talk about God and religion when the other person is either religious or not religious but possibly is looking into it.

Oh and I have no problem with people not being religious... just throwing that out there. just because i am doesn't mean you have to be.lol

What percent of terrorist acts worldwide are attributed to religious basis and in specific, islamic in nature?

Just because your average muslim is a good dude, doesnt mean the religion doesnt spawn/influence some of the most notable terrorist attacks and activity in modern history

The idea here is the principle of the situation, not the fact that muslims are evil as a whole


If someone cant see building a Mosque/religious center for islam 1/10 of a mile from americas biggest terrorist tragedy (at the hands of an islamic religious based attack) as questionable, they need their head checked

FWIW i dont think there would be a problem if a mosque was built in NYC (hell there are some already), just its proximity.

if the japanese temple was built overlooking pearl harbor, that would be a little more in line with this IMO
