The biggest misconception about firearm laws usually revolve around full auto weapons and silencers. Some people just think that everything is Illegal. My response to that is simple; 'If you pay the government enough money, you can own anything'.

I hate people that think an "assault rifle" is/has to be full auto.
Its funny, in my school saying something like "yea, I have a gun and i go to fireing ranges all the time" is astonishing.

Was thinking about that, but might as well carry around a pellet gun if i had a 22, was thinking more along the lines of a shotgun in the case we come along a not so friendly bear or mountain cat while in the backcountry

You make bullets for guns like the 45-70, using cast lead slugs. If you physically manufacture the .223 bullet in your basement, chances are your accuracy is going to be Dogshit Soup.
