        I was told this by a Jasper rep when we had hundreds of D35 axle bearings in the shop I used to work at. Don't know how accurate that is but seeing how everyday had 2 or more D35's it seemed like a reasonable explanation.
        Jeeps don't get stuck ... they just take a nap when they are tired of being awesome

          D35's should not be compared with the 44. if the axle tubes were improperly welded don't you think they would have noticed it and fixed it?

            rep said both 44's and 35's were improperly welded but clearly if no one else has heard of this he could not have been right

              no the 44s are fine, or look into an 8.8
              1996 xj, waggy 44 front 5.13 gears aussie trussed, 3 links, 3.5" coils, spooled 8.8 rear, 38" tsl sx's, tnt front bumper, jesus freaks rear bumper, Olympic top hat roof rack, bunch of dumb shit

                welcome. check out some of the xj build threads for appropriate axle tech and gearing. may even want to look into some suspension changes, shortarms with that much lift are no good. The 44's are fine, i've run one with reasonably no issues. Even the dana 30's are pretty stout for a while, but they will break if you beat on em.

                      quite misguided indeed. and im assuming you mean 14 bolt, not 16

                      97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.
