So this is how the problem came about. A wire that runs from the computer I believe? to one of the wires on the ignition switch was resting on the valve cover and eventually melted through and grounded itself out while i was on the trail. All the power cut out and there was a small flames on one of the wires running off of the starter solenoid. I changed a few of the fuses that popped, taped up the wire as that was pretty much all i had and then had to do a roll start backwards to get off the trail and head home. I haven't really investigated it too much, figured the solenoid was only 15 bucks so i would start there. I picked up some heavier gauge wire and connectors the other day so I'm going to go through to tommorrow and replace the wires that might have been affected by the grounding and the flame.
I can jump the starter and it turns on, would this lead to the ignition module being faulty?
