I plan on going SOA on the Comanche. My question is: I've heard that MJ springs are further apart than those on an XJ. Is this true? I have the old chryco axle out of my cherokee from swapping in Pete's axle, and wondered if it could bolt right up without having to grind off and attach new perches. If they are wider, by how much? Do I need to weld them with a preset angle to correct the pinion to compensate for going SOA instead of spring under?

^^ sold. But it would of ben sweet. Rob, you will need to change your spring mounts, shock mounts, etc... You will need to find the correct pinion angle too.

If the widths are the same, and I would think they are, just throw an 8.25 under it, which is already setup up for SOA, then as long as the pinion angle is fine you should be all set.98 Cherokee, D30/8.25 w/4.56s locked F/R -- 3 link front IRO springs rear with shackle relocation, one ton steering w/heims, hybrid cage under contruction, 33'' KM2's
