  • Reaming Steering knuckles

    So my one ton steering kit came and my buddy thats lending me the reamer to do is is saying its a PITA to ream for UTK steering with the knuckles on the truck. Anyone have experience with doing this? I cant see it being to hard any insight is appriciated.

    Just put the front axle higher on the jack stands, or on a lift. I just drilled and reamed OTK because why not.

      I thought about OTK but i really dont feel like moving my track bar lol

        To be honest, I havent moved mine yet and I get very little bumpsteer, almost not noticable.

          Reaming just takes a while you will probably get tired I do my on the lift standing up.

          You just might need to take a couple beer brakes but I'm sure you can do it.

          You want the slowest 1/2 drill you can get.

            I've done it not to bad. the pitman arm was a pain but that was it.

              just dont over-do it. when you get close to where it should be just do it in small increments

              97 TJ that I think is pretty neat.
