Year of a motor? The engine in my 1990 chevy 3500 is on it's way out, and since the tranny blew in our dually last weekend, we are doing a engine swap this weekend. We bought a motor from chuck & eddies, went to advance with a parts list only to find out the parts don't fit.(gaskets mainly)

Is there a stamp on the block or something to figure out what year it was made in?
